Introduction to Classical Ballet (No Previous Experience)

This class is perfect for 12 to 16-year-olds curious about classical ballet without prior experience. It's designed to gently introduce students to ballet's fundamental techniques and vocabulary in a supportive environment. Students will learn basic positions, movements, and terminology while focusing on developing strength, flexibility, and coordination. The emphasis is building a solid foundation and cultivating a love for ballet.

Tuesday 4.30 - 5.45pm  Recommended: One class per week.

Age 12 to 16-year-olds

What to wear and bring: Drink a bottle, wear a combination of gym/yoga or dancewear, and ballet shoes. Wear your hair up in a bun, headband, or ponytail.

Term fee: one class per week: $280 per term.


Beginners (1 - 3 Years Experience)

This class offers a structured progression from the basics to more complex movements and combinations for teens with 1 to 3 years of previous ballet experience. Students refine their technique, improve their posture and alignment, and start to explore musicality and expression through ballet. It's ideal for those who grasp the fundamentals and are eager to deepen their understanding of ballet.

Intermediate (4 - 8 Years Experience)

This class caters to teens who have been dancing ballet for 4 to 8 years and are ready to refine their skills at a more advanced level. Students will work on intricate movements, coordination, artistry, and musical interpretation. The focus is on developing strength, flexibility, and artistry while learning more challenging choreography and variations. This class is suitable for dedicated students who are committed to honing their ballet technique.

Recommended: One or two classes per week (Beginners and Intermediate) (Intermediate and Advanced)

Age 12 to 16-year-olds

Advanced (8 - 14 Years Experience)

This rigorous and demanding class is designed for highly experienced ballet students with 8 to 14 years of training. Students will refine their technique to a high standard, focusing on artistry, expression, and performance quality. They will delve into advanced ballet repertoire, variations, and pointe work (a separate class). 

Recommended: One, Two or more classes per week at 16. There is a pathway into the adult ballet classes (Intermediate and Advanced) (Advanced and Adult Ballet)
