GREAT BALLETS OF TIME
Contemporary Works for Adult Dancers
Welcome to the exciting 2024 Showcase season at the Adult Ballet Centre! This annual event is open to all of our amazing dancers at the Adult Ballet Centre. We warmly invite anyone interested in participating to join our extra rehearsal classes, which kick off six weeks before the Showcase on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at the beautiful Shirley Burke Theatre in Parkdale.
The Adult Ballet Centre Showcase is a fantastic opportunity for adult ballet and contemporary dancers to shine on stage, displaying their talent and dedication to a supportive audience of families and friends. Our showcases typically feature performances by adult dancers of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced, providing a platform for you to share your passion for dance with fellow enthusiasts. Our teachers carefully choreograph these works to ensure that everyone enjoys and learns the art of a theatre performance experience.
During our Showcase performances, you can expect a diverse program, including class demonstrations across all levels, an AICD Ballet Assessment class demonstration, contemporary dance, Three Ballet Repertoires, and even a chance for a few solos. It's an opportunity for you to celebrate your love for dance and demonstrate your growth as a dancer. So, mark your calendars and get ready to dazzle your audience in 2024!
In addition to the performance itself, adult ballet showcases offer a chance for dancers to connect with other adult ballet students and members of the wider dance community. Dancers can meet others who share their passion for ballet and can gain valuable feedback and support from their peers.
The Adult Ballet Centre’s 2024 ‘Great Ballets of Time’ showcase is a wonderful opportunity for adult ballet students to share their love of dance with others while also honing their skills as performers. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced dancer, participating in our showcase is a rewarding and enriching experience that can help you grow both as a dancer and as a person.
